Join singer, actor and teacher Elliot Lazar for this journey through some of the greats of musical theatre.


ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Winnipeg born-and-raised Elliot Lazar has performed and taught across Canada and the United States. In Winnipeg, he has appeared with Rainbow Stage, Manitoba Theatre for Young People, Winnipeg Jewish Theatre, Dry Cold Productions, Winnipeg Studio Theatre, Manitoba Opera, Flipside Opera, Little Opera Company and Manitoba Underground Opera. Elliot holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Manitoba and Master of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Since graduating, he has taught through the MCMA, Rainbow Stage (Camp Rainbow), Wheelock Family Theatre at Boston University and Winnipeg Studio Theatre.

Career highlights include playing Flounder in the Canadian Premiere of Disney’s The Little Mermaid at Rainbow Stage, playing Leo Frank in Parade with Opera NUOVA in Edmonton, and creating the role of Tobias Tweeney in the World Premiere of Another Roll of the Dice at North Coast Repertory Theatre in San Diego, for which he was nominated for a Broadway World San Diego Award (Best Actor in a Musical).
