Tai Chi
In Person
Program Description
Tai Chi (Taiji) is an ancient internal martial art form which today is mostly taught for its many health benefits. Its slow, deliberate movements engage and unite both body and mind. With regular practice you can improve balance, concentration, co-ordination, memory, bone density, blood pressure and leg strength. You will learn movements with names such as Parting Wild Horse’s Mane, Carry Tiger to Mountain, Wave Hands Like Clouds, Grasp Bird’s Tail that will not only conjure up beautiful images in your mind but also will allow your body, mind and spirit to enter into a deep and quiet place. Please think about giving yourself the gift of Taiji and the permission to learn this ancient art. Wear comfortable clothing and bring soft soled “indoor” shoes. No scents please. It is recommended that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of class. SCHEDULE: 12 Wednesdays, September 20 to December 6, 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM LOCATION: Robert A.
