At this level you will have opportunities to improve your Spanish language skills to be used in a variety of situations and for a variety of purposes through your personal interests, current events, debates (pro & cons on issues that matter to you), role playing situations, and selected literary pieces among others. Steen Community Centre, 980 Palmerston Avenue FEE: $150.00 ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Rossana McCormack is a Spanish Teacher and Interpreter. Rossana was born in Lima, Peru. She got her B.Ed. and Licenciatura at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), and her M.Ed. at Gallaudet University in Washington D.C. She has taught Spanish at university, high school and adult education levels. Her experience includes, in Peru she worked in a PUCP/University of Winnipeg Teacher Training Project funded by CIDA working in shantytowns; in Manitoba, she has worked as a Spanish course developer for Manitoba Education as well in the implementation of the Manitoba Spanish Curriculum. She is also a freelance conference interpreter. Rossana was the Honorary Consul for Peru in Winnipeg for the provinces of Manitoba and Saskatchewan from 1998 to 2010. She has been teaching at Creative Retirement since 2002. She enjoys teaching different age groups and gets energized by her students!
