From Idea to Novel
Registration begins September 1
Details
Writing a novel is about more than having a good idea. It's about creating a story readers can't put down.
In this three-part course (four weeks in Fall, Winter and Spring for a total of 12 weeks), you'll learn how to develop a strong novel concept, build compelling characters and plot, and use techniques to keep readers turning pages. Whether you're writing your first novel or looking to strengthen your storytelling skills, this course provides practical tools you can apply immediately to your own work.
By the end of the series, you'll have a solid story foundation, a roadmap for completing your manuscript, and a deeper understanding of what makes novels impossible to put down.
FEE: Free for Members

INSTRUCTOR: J.H. Moncrieff is an award-winning author of supernatural thrillers and horror. A former journalist who once tracked down snipers and braved crocodile-infested waters, her gripping fiction has been described as a mix of Gillian Flynn and Stephen King. She won Harlequin’s global search for “the next Gillian Flynn,” and her paranormal mystery, City of Ghosts, won the Kindle Book Review Award.
