Finding Your Voice
Life Writing for Older Adults
Registration begins September 1
Details
This program is designed for older adults who want to write but don’t know how to start. This program will help participants overcome writer's block, build confidence and gain skills and knowledge to better express what matters to them through writing, whether that means journaling, writing poetry, essays, editorials, letters, reflections, or life stories.
Participants will explore common ground through writing and storytelling, improve their ability to observe, and increase empathy through facilitated group discussions, guest speaker presentations and in-class writing exercises. Participants will learn to write clearly, combining thought with heart to create written pieces with impact.
